The State Government has decided to lease Hotel Imphal to private operators and to release the July and August salaries of Electricity employees.
A sum of Rs 40.56 lakhs have been earmarked for this purpose.
These decisions were taken during a meeting of the Governor-in-council held today with Governor Ved Marwah presiding, an official source said.
The Council gave the nod to the tender issued by the Tourism department for leasing out Hotel Imphal to private hotel groups.
The meeting also discussed about the probability of advertising the tender call in the national papers.
Salary payment for the month of July and August to muster roll and work charge employees of the Electricity department was also agreed during the meeting.
The Council also agreed to hand over the repair of the Senapati-Maram road on NH-39 and Lamlai-Yaingangpokpi road to the BRO.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of approaching the Prime Minister to get more fund released from the Japanese Government for the Sericulture project.
The meeting also decided to pay three months salary to regular employees of the Loktak Development Authority.
